This is a fun game for anyone and everyone that goes on for the duration of your party.
How to play
Everyone gets 5 pins, or however many clothes pins you'd like and an elf name with a name tag when they arrive. Once the pins and name tag are on, the game starts for that person. As people come through the door they're added to the game.
The point of the game is to use the elf names at all times.
If you catch someone using a real name instead of their elf name, you steal one of their pins. The person at the end with the most pins wins.
And remember, even if you lose all your pins, you can still catch someone using a real name and get yourself back in the game.
I recently introduced this game at a staff party and it was the last day we all got along. I'm kidding. But let me tell you, it's a lot harder than it seems. People were running around the corner when they heard a name or trying to trick someone into saying a name. It got competitive but it was a lot of fun.
Here are some ideas for elf names.
Flake Merry Jangle Jolly Ribbons Happy
Coco Twinkle Zippy Glitter McFluffly
Frost Holly Jolly Toes Snickerdoodle Snowybum
Tiny Snowflake Sugarpants Candy Twinkletoes
Figgy Sugarplum Peppermint VonSparkles Gingersnaps
There are a lot of elf name ideas online as well.
I picked up these cute Christmas clothes pins at Dollarama but any plain old pins would do the trick.
Happy playing!
